Getting Started
Here are the steps of starting ABA therapy:
1. Intake form
Please send us an email. Afterwards, a team member will contact you to schedule an interview and send documentation for you to complete. We want to ensure that we have the staffing needs for your family.
2. Authorization
After receiving your intake, a member of Bright Minds will contact your insurance to verify your eligibility for ABA coverage and submit an assessment request. This is when a Bright Minds BCBA will be assigned to your child.
3. Assessment
Once your insurance approves our request for assessment, we will reach out to you to schedule an in-home or in-clinic assessment. This is to determine how many hours of therapy will be prescribed to make meaningful gains for your child.
4. Approval
After the assessment, we will write the treatment plan with the recommended hours to submit to your insurance. Insurances typically respond within 14 business days.
5. Treatment
Once the treatment plan has been approved by the insurance company, we are approval to start therapy! Your child will have a therapy schedule that you and your BCBA have agreed to and we can begin on a weekly basis. Congratulations!
